Horseback Riding to Arenal Volcano

Enjoy an unforgettable horseback ride to the imposing Arenal Volcano, combining adventure, nature, and spectacular scenery. We’ll begin the horseback ride with a leisurely 1.5-kilometer ride along the road leading to the volcano. We’ll then enter the private Arenal Volcano Ecological Park, where we’ll follow the route along a beautiful natural lake of volcanic origin.

As we continue, we’ll enter a trail surrounded by the lush tropical rainforest of Arenal, heading towards the historic lava flows. Along the way, we’ll take a brief 5-minute break to rest, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings.

We’ll continue the horseback ride until we reach a point where we begin a hike of approximately 10 minutes along a rocky trail, which will take us to an ancient lava flow. From there, you can capture incredible photographs, record videos, and learn about the fascinating history of the 1968 and 2010 eruptions.

Furthermore, weather permitting, from this vantage point you’ll have panoramic views of the majestic Lake Arenal, the impressive Guanacaste mountain ranges, the Tenorio Volcano, and even Lake Nicaragua, if the weather is good. Enjoy the ride with us!
